Ok so i have to admit ive spent several hours in the last 2 days in front of this computer reading a certin thread over at DST.. If you dont know what thread im talking about, well the title of this blog is a clue :) It's been fun getting to know some of the people there that i knew nothing about prior to this.

Well tomorrow is the day, it is my very 1st 29th birthday hehe... I'm excited, yet i havent quite figured out how long i will stay 29, i might actually be perfectly ok with turning 30, kinda means im an official grown up huh?? I guess ill have to start acting like one...Oh well..

Me and Dh went out tonight to celebrate a double date at Applebee's, it was fun, the service was well OK, i wiggled my way out of being sang happy birthday to by all the staff, but still got my birthday treat!! YAY!! So for that the waiter got props and made up for the slow service!!

Big News and a challenge...

WOW I've had a string of good luck lately... Firstly being invited to Kathryn's CT, its been so much fun working with her designs, they really do rock!! I am currently working on a year in reveiw album that im making using her Altered Art Spiral album . I had big plans with it, but im struggling a bit, i think because its such a big project, but im sure it will be awesome once its done.

Secondly, I was asked to Join the CT at Digi Scrap Shak I of course accepted, who could pass that offer up!! I am very excited to get to work there, lots of great designers there, and lots of fun stuff to work with.

Third, I was asked to possibly photograph a wedding for a complete stranger! That was very encouraging. When i declined do to my lack of experience, she offered to let me come out anyway to get the practice, how awesome is that!! So in July it looks like ill be shooting a wedding :) I can hardly wait.

Ok so for the challenge, There is a new BLOG IT Challenge for January at DSS, This week's challenge is to post your best photo of 2006, I had to think about this for a sec, then i remember this shot, its probably not my favorite overall picture of 2006, but it means the most to me because its my grandparents, and i just dont see them that often, and well, they are getting older:

Things have been very hectic lately for me, in case you havent noticed, i have updated my blog in over a month...Poor Blog!! I have decided that i am going to take somewhat of a sabbatical from designing for a big, step back until after the holidays and reevaluate things then.. I just cant seem to get inspired lately, and nothing new is going out, it sucks!! hehe Dont forget about me, my stuff will still be around, its not going anywhere, i probably just wont put much if anything out, i am hoping to finish up the kit ive been working forever on, just because i want it to be done, and itll go up...But probably nothing else until after christmas... Tonight is my 10 year high school reunion, i cant beleive its been ten years already!! We had a mixer last night, and it was so much fun seeing everyone again. I had really lost touch with everyone, and im so glad i got to reconnect, Kristin is determined to make sure i dont lose touch again, i think she told me 5 times not to do it again!! LOL I missed these girls so much long ago, but id forgotten how much i missed them!! Tonight is the actual reunion, cant wait to see more faces of people who didnt who up last night, and im taking the camera, so ill of course have plenty of pictures!! YAY!!

Ok this is a bit of a rant, so be forewarned!!
If i see one more post on a message board with the title, "Where were you?" I might scream, how about i talk about where i obviously wasnt, In the World Trade Center area, or on a plane, or the pentagon!! Maybe im just more traumatized by this day in our history than i realized, but i really don't care to relive watching thousands of people die for no apparent reason! Why on earth would anyone want to constantly relive this tragic moment in our nations history!! I really dont understand, i dont want to watch movies, documentries, news shows etc etc, i dont want to see the horrid pictures of everyone covered in ashes, i dont want to see the sad faces, i dont want to see pictures of those who are no longer with us, because some stupid radical islamic group decided they needed to make a idiotic point!!!
I will never forget the way i felt watching the second plane go into the second tower, i will never forget the fear that i felt not knowing what was going to happen next, i will never forget the tears i shed for these families i never knew, i will never forget any of this. And therefore do not need the constant reminders!!Its time to move on, have a moment of silence, pray for the victims families, pray for the radical islamics who feel they need to commit suicide to get their point accross!! Pray for them all, and most importantly FORGIVE!! As soon as everyone forgives and moves on, we will all be a much happier nation!!

A lil Update!

Ive been working on catching up this week, i have a cute lil system i call my post it system! I write on a post it note whatever i need to do, then i rip it down as i finish and crumple it up and throw it out!! Its quite a handy system. Although the added clutter to my desk sometimes drives me nuts! Just an added incentive to get them down quickly!

I think im finished getting everything moved over to Digitals, so you can now find all my designs there, and as of today, only there! I will miss The Daily Scrap, a bunch of great designers there, but this has made things so much less hectic for me, especially with going back to school.

Speaking of school, things are going ok with that, the class isnt terribly hard, once i finally understand what we are talking about, i think we are having a test this week, so i should probably study for that, Good Times!!

The kids are also back into the full swing of school, they seem to be coping well, We had meet the teacher night last night, and it was fun meeting their teachers and getting to see all the old teachers they have had in previous years. I am excited that i will be able to be up at the school more this year helping out!! I feel like ive missed out on that alot in previous years. Ok i think that's all for now!! Later Gators :)

I've been neglecting my poor blog :( Its not because things have been crazy, its just because i havent taken the time to update lately. I realized i have almost 900 hits, so apparently someone is reading this LOL.

What's up with me?

The kids are all back to school, YAY!! Although i miss them terribly, im also glad that the days of children fighting all day are gone. I started back to school myself this fall, finally!! I am pursuing my nursing degree, and am very excited, it was very surreal the other day when i was sitting on the couch doing homework, and my son was sitting next to me doing his!! I think we did some bonding LOL.

In designing, im still doing that but have scaled back some, my designs are now avaible exclusively at Digitals (http://digitalscrapbookpages.com), and that is where you will find me more and more. Come October we are having a HUGE Birthday Bash Celebration, and it should be a ton of fun, Digitals is turning 2!! :) There will be a ton of freebies and lots of fun. Right now they have a posting challenge going on in the gallery and forums, which is a fun chance to get to know other digiscrappers while working on getting some free gifts, including gift certificates to Digitals!!

That's My sister's car!! She's ok, dont worry, but i could honestly strangle her. You wanna know why her car looks like that?? Take a guess??? She was driving DRUNK!! My sister has this really bad habit of getting so drunk she can barely walk or talk, and then getting behind the wheel!! Ive told her what an idiot she is several times, but of course she doesnt listen. Her boyfriend messaged me on yahoo, saying thank God for you and people like you, that prayer for people, i was all like huh because i didnt know yet. So he is going on and on about how its such a blessing my sister is ok, and not hurt worse, well i guess. Don't get me wrong, im glad my sister is ok, but i dont feel the least bit bad for her, this is a stupid decision she constantly makes, and it finally caught up with her, and its not like someone driving drunk has not affected our lives. Our Nephew's father was killed because he was driving drunk, and wrapped his car around a tree!! So now im being made to feel bad, because i see the true miracle in this as being, she didnt hurt or kill anyone else with her extremely ignorant decision!! I'm sorry but i just cant feel bad for her!! Hopefully this will be a wake up call, but i doubt it, as she was not charged with DUI, and her boyfriends response was "that didnt have anything to do with the accident", I guess trees just jump out in front of cars these days and fall on them!!! I havent spoke to her, she is mad at me for feeling the way i do, maybe its harsh, but im sure the greif a family would have felt by losing a loved one to her stupid decision, is way worse than any Harsh words i have for her!!

Disappointed to say the Least

I havent blogged about this yet, because it just eats away at me. The aftermath of last weeks storms as devastating for some. Missouri did a great job in getting help to those who needed it, unfortunately, i dont live in Missouri, which is where the disappointed comes in. The night of the storm, and the next day, while i sit in my horribly hot house. I did not see a single government official!! No patrols in the neighborhood, no checking for damage, not a thing!! A week later, ive not heard a single thing! My phone was out, i had no power, no communication except my cell phone, which barely worked due to a tower being knocked out, not to mention the lack of it being charged, since there was no power! Thankfully i had transportation, had i not, who knows what would have happened. There was absolutely no communication as to where to go to get cool, get food (most ours spoiled of course), get water (the majority of the area was under a boil order)...ETC ETC....and still to this day over a week later, ive not heard a single thing about what Gov. Blagovich is doing for our area. Yet i see on the news all the time what the Missouri Governer is doing, he even called in the national guard!! To help with clean up and to check on people so that they were informed!! Our entire neighborhood is still littered with limbs up and down all the streets, all dried out, just in time for a major heat wave, can we save FIRE HAZARD!! It just scares me to death, someone stupid is going to throw a lit cigarette out their car window and burn someone's house down or something!! Or worse some little kid will be nearby and get burned horribly!! Im so annoyed at our Gov at this present time, i could scream!! Im sure he is up in Cook County, sitting pretty in his mansion, while all of us little people have to sit here and wonder how on earth we are going to clean up, and pay for all this damage, that the insurance company wont cover!!

Lost another Ear ring

My daughter Sophia 16 months, has lost yet another earring, i never see her mess with them, but they keep coming up missing out of her ears!? Do they just fall out all on their own? Or maybe there is a earring troll who comes along and steals them LOL because once they fall out, they are never seen again. I sure hope she doesnt get them out and then try to eat them? Ive gotten to a point where i rarely put earrings in her ears, but i did yesterday for the first time in a long time, to make sure her ears dont close up, and what do ya know, after going all day yesterday, and me putting her to bed with them in (i didnt think to take them out since theyd stayed in all day) she woke up this morning, with only one earring!! :P I give up!!

Ok i didnt talk much about it, because i dont like to let the whole world know im at home alone LOL. But DH has been gone for the last 2 weeks, and came home today, and lucky break, he got home 6 hours earlier than planned, he got lucky and they let him out early enough to catch an earlier flight :) YAY!! Its so nice to have him home. We went out to our favorite resturant tonight, Olga's (this place rawks!! its where we go when we cant decide where to go, because the food is always great!). I have a feeling im going to sleep much better to, i hate sleeping in an empty bed!!
By the way for those of you wondering where dh was, he has been in NYC doing some training, he is in the Naval Reserves, i love my part time man in uniform!! :)

I've decided that im totally in love with the digital age, it seems so surreal to me that when i was my children's ages, computers in the home were pretty much unheard of, now we have 3 LOL (only 2 work though!!)...Along with this, is the wonderful technolgy that is allowing me to sit on my deck and blog, while my children play in the pool!! :) Gotta love it!! Let's not talk about the ability to digi scrap on the road LOL :) Yep i have actually scrapped while traveling in the car!! That was fun :) Wanna see?? Ever have that feeling your running up a hill, and its taking you forever, then you get to the top and suddenly everything is a bit easier?? Well today i found out that i was also accepted to the Element Team at Digi Scrap Central!!!!! I'm so excited, this should be a ton of fun!!

I have been offered a design position at The Daily Scrap....I'm very excited about this, I was a little surprised to be "offered" any design position without having to hunt it down. I'm told they came accross my blog, and saw my stuff!! What a HUGE compliment!! :) I cant wait to get to work, I will continue to sell at Digitals as well, but plan on not offering all the same stuff in both places!!! Man i have lots to do LOL.....

I am currently looking for a few CT members!! I have recently started selling my designs at Digitals and will soon be selling at The Daily Scrap as well. SO I guess its time to get a few people to help me out, because i cant design all these kits and use them to their fullest potentional!! I just dont have the time! :) What's in it for you?? You will get all my designs you work with for free!! and will be elgible for Bonuses as well (what kind of bonuses im sure your wondering...Gift cards to some great sites like The Digi Chick, as well as the sites i sell at). In return i asked that you, make 1-2 Layouts per kit/product you choose to work with (yes you get to choose, i completely understand that not all kits will fit what everyone has or chooses to scrap, i want this to be fun!!) Angela from TDC, prompted us to post about when school gets out for our kiddos!!...My kids have been out since May 25th!! And of course driving me nuts just as long haha!! Its Sound Off time!!

I was kicked off the CT i have been working for at 2Bscrapped, would you like to know why i was kicked off??

Because there was some serious miscommunication, and i stepped up and asked about what was going on!!

The call that was put out as well as the contract we signed clearly stated we were to use 3 Kits per month and create at least one LO from each kit, Miriam, then decided at some point we were to do 3 LO's per kit!!...Insane i tell you. So after several of us spoke up, that there was no way we would do this, we were told that the 3LO's per kit (even thought it was written several times in the same post on the CT board) was merely a typo!

That's fine, but several people were very frustrated, so i suggested we have a pow wow chat to get frustrations out, and also for Miriam to get some helpful suggestions on how things need to work, from the CT members.

Apparently asking this of her was way too much, and i have been kicked off the CT because i was told that i could not just let it go, and that i was adding fuel to the fire...Personally im glad i no longer have to work with someone so immature and with very little leadership ability!!

I guess that's what i get for straying from my favorite sites!....

Its 6-6-6, the world is gonna end today!!!

HAHAHA Im just teasing!! MY goofy ex let my older children watch a show a few weekends ago, that said the world was going to end on 666 and Jesus was coming to take all his beleivers that day, and the lost would perish.

Now being that i am a christian (ex is not) this opened up some very interesting conversation in my home!! Try explaining the book of revelations to a 12, 9, and 6 yr old!

They now understand that the world is not going to end today, and that no one will ever be able to predict when it will end, and that yes all those who are lost will perish, but that is why it is our job to reach out to the lost, and help them get a relationship with God! Amazingly they get it! Kids really can grasp alot more than we give them credit for some times!

Ok so everyone knows ive been drooling over Digital SLR's, i want one SOOOO bad!!! :) I absolutely love taking pictures! And this would just add too it, well Dh isnt as thrilled about the idea, and pretty much had nixed me getting one anytime soon....Today he comes home from work and out of the blue tells me that i need to save my money i make from selling my kits, and once i get half the money saved for my Digital SLR, i get to start looking for one!! WOOOO freakin HOOOO!!! Im so excited!!!

So people start buying these babies LOL even if its just out of pity!! hehe Just kidding!!

I have decided to sell at Digitals.

I'm very excited, and am working hard on revamping some old designs, and getting some new kits together. Ive been honing my skills, and am sure that my new stuff will be 100% better than the old stuff, and i am continueing to learn new tricks all the time!

I'm going through withdrawels, my favorite digi scrap site is down :( and has been since yesterday!!....Seriously i could cry!! I guess maybe i might get some of my house clean today...Good thing too, as this is the last full day of school for my kids, till fall....They go get report cards tomorrow, and then almost 3 months of fun!! I wonder who itll be fun for LOL....Saturday we are going to the Zoo that should be a blast as usual, we are meeting up with some mama's from my March 2005 Playgroup message board, im getting very excited. OK so this is kinda sad, i went to our new Wal-mart supercenter last night, and i was actually in awe, that place is freakin huge, i think im gonna end up getting lost in there some time!! Apparently its like the second largest Wally World in the United States, and i live 2 miles from it, how cool is that?? Yea im easily entertained!! Our old rinky dink wal mart, is nothing compared to this place, the whole parking lot was full, and when you got inside, i swear it felt almost empty its so big! No more crowded aisles, and LONG lines! Plus one stop shopping for me! Which is huge!! Only problem is, i practically lived at the old wal-mart, now i wonder how much im gonna be at this new one, since its the closet grocery store!....OK I'm done with my silly little post!

I just havent been able to get in the mood to blog, i tried yesterday but nothing came out....Things are going well, Sophia finally started walking!! YAY! I swear it took her forever! Now she is offically walking more than crawling, and just in time too, because we have a camping trip this weekend, and i wasnt going to be up to carrying her around the entire time.

On a down note, im suffering from a bit of scrappers block, i havent been able to scrap a decent page in a few days, I'm really bummed, and hoping it past quickly, because i have a ton of pics to scrap!!

I actually won something!! The Digi Chick had their Nationial scrapbook day/Mom's day celebration (although NSD was May 6th, always gotta be different LOL). I want a new camera!! I love my lil Sony Cybershot, it was served me well! It really does take amazing pictures, but usually only outdoors :( Which is extremely frustrating!! Ive been drooling over Digital SLR's for a while now, but no way Hubby is going to let me spend close to 900 bucks or better on a new camera :( Pout Pout!! I cant say i disagree with him, its not a nesscity by any means, and it is alot of money, for something i just plain want. I found this Olympus (great reveiws) at Dell for less than 900 bucks, and it comes with 2 lenses!! Incredible i tell you!! Im drooling, and whining, i want this!!! And cant have it, i swear im gonna start a fund for my new camera LOL! I know DH will never let me buy it otherwise, i gotta come up with the money somehow....How sad is it that im seriously considering taking donations for this camera LOL....I post on ALOT of message boards, and if everyone donated just a buck, id be set!! Shoot id be more than set, as some of these message boards have a couple thousand members! Of course this brings back memories of that girl who did something similar for Breast Implants....Now if she can get a few grand for breast implants, i should be able to get a grand for a great camera!! What's a grand to be able to save memories for my family for a lifetime! Not sure how much time I have, the girls are all eating breakfast...
But thought id get a quick on in.
Today's weather seems much more promising than the last few days, its been gloomy and rainy for 3 days now, today i see a big of sunshine! Good for the older kids, they have junior olympics today at school!! Zach is very excited, he has been looking forward to this all year!!
Speaking of Zach i cant beleive how fast he is growing up, my sweet lil guy, is almost a teenager!! As well as almost as tall as me, albeit not hard to do, since im short!
I got to visit with my aunt for a bit last night, which was nice, because i havent seen her in nearly 3 years :( Sad thing is her and the rest of my family only live 3 hours away, we just have not been able to take the time to go over and visit. I think one weekend in June we will go, most my extended family has yet to meet lil Miss Sophia, and i really want to make sure g-ma and g-pa get that chance! I used to love spending time at their house as a child, and i remember walking over to my Great g-ma's house (she lived next door) it was always good memories! I wish the kids could have that too :(
This weekend is the Big NSD/Mom's day celebration at The Digi Chick, they are doing a treasure hunt for a gorgeous kit!! I can hardly wait, it will surely be a ton of fun. Unfortunately ill miss out on most the chats, if not all of them, because me and DH have a busy saturday planned!! Oh well...
OMGosh i almost forgot, i have exciting news, i have made the Creative Team for 2BScrapped.com. I have no idea what to title this, i just wanted to blog a lil, things are going good, been kind of busy. Silly working hard on the site, i made my first tutorial last night!! I'm excited about that, its to learn how to cut out alpha's and elements from a single image. Ive learned that its sometimes the simplest things we need help with, simply because we are just trying to hard to figure something out!! Ok so I admit, I have messengers! Lots of them :) I enjoy keeping in touch with people online via IM. No biggy I know, but I have it clearly stated that I am married, and if possible I put happily married on all my profiles. Why oh why do strange men still insist on IMing me?? I have no desire to chat with any other man online except maybe my father, and that's a big maybe!! Especially since my father is tech challenged, and instead of hitting the reply button when I e-mail him, he calls me LOL....Yea I know I find it hilarious!! I have way to much love and respect for my husband to chat with other men online for any reason what so ever, so don't play the I just want be your friend card, I've been using the internet for years and years, and I know you don't just want to be my friend!! So get some respect for yourself, and as well for others, and quit IMing married women, seriously if you dont have enough respect for yourself, then do you honestly think anyone will respect you?? Im sorry blog i have ignored you all week long! Will you forgive me??

Yea i know im silly!! Ive been busy, and sick this week, so between the two, there hasnt been much time to blog, the grand opening is going ok, i suppose, the server was down half of Monday for the forum and gallery, but its been ok since. And thankfully the store hasnt gone down again!!

We are getting alot of hits, so hopefully things will take off, we need to get more designers, and more kits in the store i think though!! So if your a digi scrap designer, feel free to e-mail me with samples of your work, and we can chat!!

Im such a slacker lately, and cant commit to anything, I made myself a promise last week, that i would clean for an hour or so before i logged onto the computer in the morning...Mostly because i tend to totally lose track of time once i log on, and start working. I did it for 2 days hehe!! Although I must admit that right now the house isnt that much of a mess, so its not a huge deal, i do need to do some laundry though, (that never ends of course). So my commitment today is to do the dishes when the girls are all napping, and also to have a quiet time, i havent sat down for a quiet time in forever, Bad me!!

This week has been insane!! Partially im sure because the kids are on spring break!! Ive been super busy getting the site up and running for the big grand opening!! I can hardly wait!! We had a few snafus, but its all better now!! Im now concentrating hard on getting more designs up in the store!! How do you find financial freedom, in this crazy world of i want it now?? Its hard, beleive me i know its hard! Ive been dirt poor, homeless, and seriously wondering how i was going to feed my kids before. It was hard, during that time i became faithful in giving to Christ. Since then, Ive continued giving faithfully and sacrificially, and have been very blessed. Me and Dh (whom I married a year and half ago) own our own home, and continue to be faithful in giving, and our family, though we do not have everything we may want, we have everything we need and then some, which is all that really matters!

I just had a whole post written out about now I feel like im neglecting my family these days while i spend hours upon hours working on my website :( Yea i went to spell check, and the pop up blocker blocked the window, and then there went my post :( I swear they only block important stuff!! Anyways As i was saying, lately i feel like ive been super busy, and totally neglecting my housework, so today i made the commitment to clean before i logged on, i got nearly the entire living room clean (like every nook and cranny clean!!) YAY! I also got the upstairs picked up some, and plan on doing a few loads of laundry!! Dh will be so proud i wasnt lazy today! LOL

My favorite room in my house, is definately my dining room!! Its all me!! We are doing one room at a time, making the house "ours" and the dining room is the first room we did, I LOVE the color, nice dark red! Black furniture, its gorgeous!! I think alot of what I love about it, is the satisfaction of it all coming together, i worked very hard, and it came out just how i imagined!! Just a couple days ago, i was going crazy trying to get this site up and running....then suddenly things turned a corner!! Ive actually got quite a bit done, and the site is mostly useable! Im still updating, customizing and working out kinks, but its getting there. Ive worked on setting up a forum today, and i "think" i might even get a gallery set up. If not, i plan on having a whole section in the forum devoted to being a gallery. :) At least until i start making money and can add a decent gallery!! I havent worked on kits for a bit now, i might try working on some more new stuff this evening, i dont have anything planned, i orginally planned to goto the gym tonight, but im sore from going the last two days, and decided i need to take a break!! :) We will be having some ice cream cake though, for Tristan's 6th Birthday!! And Tristan is going to be so excited to learn he is getting a brand new Bike for his birthday!! YAY!! I cant wait to see his face with that one! Ok now back to work!

I didnt do much today, scrapped a page, based off of a sketch by Laura from Digi chick for her contest to win her new easter kit, the kit is awesome and can be seen on her blog : Laura's Corner Here's my take on it, using Sophia's new born pics. I've been so freakin busy lately, trying to get the site just right, im such a perfectionist!! UGH! I'm also adding t-shirts and other things to the site, so ive been trying to make designs for that in addition to my digital scrapbook kits, and birth announcements... I think things are really starting to come along, thank goodness. Our many vacation in Tulsa last week was great, it was really uplifting to be able to be around such a great and vast group of fellow Christians!! Now back to work!!

I scrap for a few reasons, but the biggest by far is my family!! I love that i have the ability to perserve our families memories for future generations!! My kids love flipping through my pages, and its great fun sharing fun times with them. Plus its just fun!! LOL
